What the heck is Fisuburger?
Eemeli never planned to start a restaurant — his heart belonged to the water and the work of a fishing guide. But when global turmoil brought tourism to a standstill, he had to find a new direction. That’s when the idea surfaced: what if Finnish lake fish could become something fresh, honest, and genuinely delicious?
The first tests were a surprise: a fish burger could be fresh, self-caught, hand-filleted — and ridiculously good. That was enough to spark a fire that kept growing, summer after summer.
The core team formed around Eemeli, Anni, and chef Tatu. Eemeli brings in the fish, Anni keeps everything running smoothly, and Tatu crafts the flavors. Together, they are the engine behind Fisuburger.
The summers at the lakeside market, the winter season in the Tokmanni parking lot, and the constant experimenting laid the foundation for what Fisu is today: a champion of Finnish lake fish and Kangasniemi’s own street-food pride.
And now, a new chapter begins. Fisuburger has moved into the old Reissu Pannu building along Mikkelintie. A fresh start, a new space, new possibilities — but the same promise as day one:
